Abstract

The aim of the thesis is the development of a web application for administering an evidence of students' grades. In the thesis we describe methodologies for the application development and describe the multi-tier approach to this task. After presenting the requirements specification of the target user, we describe the details of our application planning and development. The latter follows one of the previously described methodologies. Additionally, we describe all used development tools and the comparison between different candidate databases. The main part of the thesis presents the functionalities of the developed application. To conclude, the application is evaluated by describing its advantages, disadvantages and ideas for the further work.
