    Abstract

The thesis deals with the development of a computer-controlled remote control vehicle with video surveillance. The introduction describes the remote control operation, the types of the remote control and their purpose. The main part is divided into three parts. The first one describes all the necessary hardware components. In the second part the modification of the radio-controlled vehicle and the integration of the hardware components are presented. The third part describes the software development on a computer and Seeeduino board. The final part of the thesis provides the user’s guide for the program that controls the vehicle and video surveillance and shows a proper way of connecting all of the necessary components. The final product allows controlling the remote-controlled vehicle with the arrow keys on the computer keyboard at a frequency of 40 MHz and video surveillance with the wireless camera at a frequency of 2.4 GHz. Such modified vehicle can be used for different purposes. It can be used to explore potentially dangerous, as yet undiscovered sites, spying, bomb search and disposal, etc.
