    Abstract

The main objective of this diploma thesis is to develop a Chrome browser extension that would enable touchless navigation in web browser using the Leap Motion sensor. The paper thus assesses the capacity of the Leap Motion sensor and explains its functions. While the analysis of the existing software solutions shows certain shortcomings, they are, however, considered in the extension development process. The Chrome browser extension has been developed by using Visual Studio tools and the Chrome browser project template. The final, ready-made extension uses additional software libraries, containing functions to simplify the solution development. The paper introduces the basic components of the Chrome browser extension as well as the architecture model of the new one. What is more, it is devoted to a description of the functionalities implemented to improve the extension and guides us through the entire development process. The ready-made extension now enables internet browsing by navigating through the links and moving along the tabs with the help of gestures. Last but not least, the conclusion provides a utility assessment of the extension along with suggestions for further improvement.
