    Abstract

The thesis deals with cloud computing and is focusing on the area of private clouds, where we want to establish an environment of already existing and well-established technologies. First, we review the cloud computing and provide a brief description of the service and design layout of the cloud. Then, a description of the software Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 is provided with the help of which we have set up a private cloud. Each of the components of the software package System Center 2012 R2 is also described and the main advantages and tasks of each component are presented. More specifically, we have focused on component Service Provider Foundation (SPF) and described its architecture and function. The main part of the thesis concerns the layout of the private cloud, where we prepare servers in a virtual environment, then place the components on them, properly set them and make some virtual machines, which are used for testing. Finally, we show a practical example where we connect the SPF component and Windows Azure Management Pack and display the management of the private cloud from the perspective of administrator and tenat.
