    Abstract

    My master's thesis entitled Implementation of a Business Intelligence System in Mariborska livarna deals with the implementation of the Cognos BI business solution. I have tried to present in my master’s thesis the area of business intelligence which has developed quickly recently, while in the developed business environment it has already been widely used. The master’s thesis comprises the process of introducing the business analytical applications ensured through the use of modern information technology and extensive expertise in business solutions. The results and achievements have been identified due to which the implementation of the business intelligence system, presented in the master’s thesis, has lead to improvement in analysis of a larger quantity of data and better information support to decision-making processes at Mariborska livarna Maribor (MLM).
