    Abstract

    Cycling race Tour of Slovenia is every year more known in the cycling world. Besides great cyclists also World Wide Web helps that this race has such a value. WWW namely makes possible variety of options to observe race live. Because Slovenian television media companies almost abandoned possibility of having direct transmission of the race, lovers of cycling sport got another opportunity to observe Tour of Slovenia live. One of the solutions is interactive flash application through web browser which shows movement of cyclist on the map. In this thesis it is described the system of how location data travel through Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to user who watched the course of cycling event on internet. Two types of communications are important. First is between GPS receiver and server where location data are stored. The second communication is between server and client where the client is observing the race on internet.
