    Abstract

The following work presents information system for handling time attendance using NFC – Near-Field Communication. The first stage describes NFC technology, its details, benefits and predictions for the future use. The second stage describes the concept of time attendance and current available solutions. The main part of the work describes a solution of information system for handling time attendance using NFC technology. It presents benefits of the solution, its obstacles and requirements. The introduction into the objectoriented methodology and development of the solution follow then. The development is divided into six activities that capture the complete process of the realized information system. The following work presents all important diagrams and descriptions which are elaborated in several activities. They lead to the complete solution. Diagrams are made with UML – Unified Modeling Language and they are implemented in PowerDesigner. In the conclusion of the work, some possible future improvements of the information system are mentioned and the estimation about using the solution in real world is given. Also some other possible solutions about integrating time attendance with near-field communication are mentioned.
