    Abstract

The objective of the diploma thesis was to develop an Android application to determine the user's micro location outdoors. In this thesis the technologies for tracing the Android device user were reviewed and analysed. Tested were technologies, which use a wireless Access points for determining the location. The measurement results are presented and analysed. An application, which implements the technology for determining the location using wireless access points and the GPS receiver, was created. The calculation of the relative locations of the planets and the Sun was implemented in the application. The functionality to compare user's location with the locations of the planets was developed. The applied functionality gives information about the planets and displays locations which the user has visited.
