    Abstract

    Nowadays, automation of processes is increasingly used in virtually all areas. Automatic control of access to remote buildings is typical such case that can be implemented in many different ways. Within the scope of this diploma thesis, we have developed a prototype embedded system used for controlling the remote sliding door motor by means of SMS messages. The embedded system is based on the microcontroller Arduino with GSM communication module. SMS messages management was further simplified by the application for Android smart phones. The application enables various remote control functions, such as closing and opening the door, checking door's condition and connections with the device itself.
