Abstract
Ischemic heart disease is the rising problem ot mankind. It appears when tho oxygen supply to the heart muscle is reduced. Health preventive and correct and punctual diagnosis of ischemic heart disease are very important. So the researchers from all the world develop automatic systems for analysis of long-term ambulatory electrocardiograph records with the aim to detect transient ischemic episodes. Reliable automatic systems signicantly improve clinical investigation. The investigation is faster, more reliable, cheaper and available to wide population. This work describes development and arhitecture of graphic user interface for evaluating and comparing algorithms and automatic analyzers to detect transient heart ischemia. Evaluation of these systems is based on using standard accepted performance measures and a protocol which are a part of the American ANSI/AAMI standards. Protocol and performance measures include evaluation of the systems in detecting transient ischemic episodes, in detecting total ischemic time and in measuring deviation of ST segment level of electrocardiogram. Thointerface bases on X window system and was developed using Glade programming tool in GTK+/GNOME graphical environment on the LINUX operating system. The Glade toolkit enables fast and easy development of graphic user interfaces. The interface is built generally accepted principles and guidelines for design of quality user interfaces. It is simpler and user friendly. With the use of this interface, the researchers could simply, fast, reliably and efficiently evaluate and compare the performance of their algorithms and automatic analyzers. We estimate that the interface will become a part of software on the internet web site http://www.physionet.org. Development of this site vhich enables free access for anyone to the data bases of physiologic signals and related software is guided by the American National Institutes of Health.
