Abstract

In an era where world wide web is very developed and also users are demanding, it is important to stand out in the crowd of websites. With the increase of use of mobile devices it is important that websites are responsive and adaptive to different sizes of displays. Graphic design and content must also convince the user to re-visit. The thesis describes the current tools and techniques for quick prototyping, designing and developing fully responsive websites. The process is presented on a practical case of an online book store. The first part is the analysis of existing professional web services for online bookselling that have a large user base. In the following chapters the process of designing and developing a website is described. It is also written how to make a responsive website and how to make featured content.
