Primož Škrjanc (2019) Development of system for analysing interventions due to spillage of the sea. EngD thesis.
Abstract
The purpose of this BSc thesis was the development of a system, which would help to analyse the situation with interventions due to spillage of the sea. Intervention does not occur at every spill of the sea, only when firefighters are required. The idea came from Grigorij Krupenko, an employee of the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (hereinafter referred to as URSZR). The system called Val was developed for analysing such events. The system uses data collected by system SPIN acquired by the URSZR and data that affect the spillage of the sea acquired by the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (hereinafter referred to as ARSO). The Val system is responsible for storing data on the server, communication between the desktop application and the database, and providing information to the user through the application. The user application supports browsing of interventions due to spillage of the sea and an overview of the weather conditions before the intervention.
