Abstract

My work describes functionalities of the SharePoint platform and how the functionality can be extended by additional applications like K2 Blackpearl (Business Process Management, forms designer) and ABBYY Flexi Caputre (OCR, capturing and processing paper documents) to design complete business solutions for managing and processing documents and other processes. Combination of all three is extremely strong, but easy to use tool. First application described in my work is pure SharePoint and basic tools that belong with it. Second application is also based on SharePoint, but is extended with K2, which significantly simplifies and speeds up application developments for business needs.
