Robert Očko (2009) The role of document systems in information systems. EngD thesis.
In my thesis I will describe changes that came from electronic document archives in which Business Process Management had influenced. Business Process Management also changes paper based business process into electronically guided process and serves as a connector for single transaction systems in corporations. Electronicaly supported business process replaces paper documents and maps with electronic documents which means that demand for digital maps exists at the begining of the business process. Thesis is based on currently operating CiklonNT document system. My goal in thesis is to show a part in business operation and connection with information system. Achieving this we will increase efficiency of document system and assure better support for business processes. In order to present this thesis at my best it is necessary for me to explain concepts in different phases. In my introduction I will explain basic ideas ( business system, business process, documents with their caracteristics and use ). In second chapter i will describe basic informations about document systems, in third chapter i will show on the example of document system CiklonNT structure of system and its usage in business enviroment. In fourth chapter i present expansion of document system on example its connection with information system Perftech.Largo. In conclusion i summarize basic improvements that brings such connection.
