Jaka Krivic (2000) Razpoznavanje objektov na osnovi superelipsoidnih modelov. MSc thesis.
Abstract
This thesis deals with object recognition using superellipsoid built models. Superellipsoids are three dimensional models, defined with parameters of shape, size, orientation, and position. Superellipsoids are constructed from range images using recover-and-select paradigm. These superellipsoids describe the objects' constituent parts. The presence of an object from the model database can be determined by using an interpretation tree. If an object is present, its location in space is also determined.
