    Abstract

Mutual relationships between employees are the central content of the study of firm’s organisation. There are different types of (organizational) relationships; nevertheless, this thesis focuses on coordinative relationships and the aspects related to the five types of such relationship, the basic one and four composed. The level of quality of individual aspects of organizational relationships is defined in detail by the Methodology of assessing the quality of organization in a firm (MUKOZ). The task of the organiser in regulating such coordinative relationships is to combine and efficiently align separately conducted tasks and individual parts of jobs when assuring the entire task to be efficiently performed by a firm. This also involves the issue of the required power of coordinators – managers, which is why the aspects of coordination relationships have been analytically assessed in terms of the inclusion of the notions of authority, power and influence. This served as the basis for the completion of the presented task: improve the usefulness of the MUKOZ methodology from the same point of view by including new aspects of coordinative relationships. The findings of the analysis have been combined with the theoretical basis of the mentioned notions and personal practical experience, so as to formulate and present new aspects of coordinative relationships. By classifying and ranging the aspects in terms of their relevance, the sensibility of the inclusion of new ones was assessed and, based on substantial comparisons, some proposals have been made for replacing certain aspects in the applied methodology. The MUKOZ methodology is merely one of the methodologies for gathering data on the quality of organisation in a firm (as a formal social unit). Therefore, other domestic and foreign models for analysing the quality of organization in a firm have been presented and compared, which are currently used in Slovenia. All models used for measuring or establishing the quality of organization in firms are rather lengthy and the outcomes can sometimes only be applied in a specific period. The questionnaire pursuant to the MUKOZ methodology contains 150 organisational aspects – 10 aspects for each of 15 relationships given in the methodology. Therefore, the questionnaire was created also in such a way that it consisted of 18 new questions – 2 for each coordinative and communicational relationship. Due to the impact on reduced time of data gathering,, the abbreviated version of questionnaire can be used more frequently to define state of specific organisational relationships in firms in terms of coordination and communication.
