    Abstract

Contents of the diploma depict entire development cycle for a web application which provides users with the ability to include transparent videos into their web pages. The inclusion is implemented in a manner that enables video to be played above the contents of the web page. The application enables the users to improve their web page recognition and increase their visitors' positive feedback. The application was developed using CakePHP framework, which is based upon philosophy of rapid application development. Adobe FLASH technology, a de facto standard in the domain of video playback in web pages, was used to enable transparent video playback. Chapter 2 presents an overview of two existing solutions to the video inclusion problem. The main project goals and required funcionalities are explained in chapter 3. Chapter 4 introduces a technological platform used for application development. Project activities and use cases are part of application planning, which is presented in chapter 5. Administrative and user part of the appication is included in chapter 6. Development of video player and production of videos are part of chapter 6 as well.
