    Abstract

This thesis task is to systematically develop and represent business application for process of internal ordering in University Psychiatric Hospital Ljubljana. To achieve this goal we used several tools and technologies, such as: HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), PHP (PHP Hypertext Preprocessor), MySQL, JavaScript, Adobe Dreamweaver, MAMP (Macintosh Apache MySQL PHP), Power Designer, PhpMyAdmin, Rational Rose, RUP (Rational Unified Process) and UML (Unified Modelling Language). HTML, PHP and JavaScript are web programming languages, which we uses in Adobe Dreamweaver for application programming. Web application was running on MAMP, which offers virtual web server and runs PHP, MySQL and other tehnologies. It also includes PhpMyAdmin, which helps user with easier MySQL database administration. Power Designer was used for creating physical and conceptual data models. For application design we used RUP methodology and UML diagrams for representation. To support all phases of process of internal ordering, we designed a web application. Implementation of web application includes two critical steps of this process, which demonstrates the use of whole system. The use of new application would bring cost-efficiency and ecological benefits.
