    Abstract

The World Wide Web is a rapidly evolving system that has become an important platform for developing and running applications. Software reuse is one of the most important ways to build new software. Web frameworks are a good example of software reuse. They are application generators that help us build web applications by using abstract classes, prefabricated components, and well defined software patterns. In the thesis I described the design and implementation of a custom web framework, I compared it with two existing open source web frameworks, and described possible bindings among them. I concluded that binding these frameworks offers two major benefits. It may widen the set of web applications that the custom framework supports, and it may increase the custom framework's performance. In the conclusion of the thesis I listed the advantages and disadvantages of custom framework development and suggested possible enhancements of the framework.
