    Abstract

The information communication technology is a crucial element of modern educational processes and systems. Its use in education is usually marked with the term e-education, where it is reasonable to distinguish two levels: e-education in the broader sense or partly ICT supported education, and e-education in the narrower sense or full e-education. Introducing e-education brings strategic advantages to an institution, that are reflected in the spatially independent implementation of the educational system, the accessibility and openness of sources of knowledge and the flexibility as well as diversity of modes of communication. To achieve these advantages we havw to prepare a proper strategy that takes into account financial, human and organizational views of e-learning course as well as pedagogical-didactical aspects. It is necessary to pay special attention to educational support for participants, as this is dimension, after which the e-learning differs from the traditional education. The participants of e-education in high-school education need to pedagogical support (learning materials, learning tools and help from tutors) as well as non-tutor support (administrative, technical, advising and organizational services) to archiever their educational goals. The tutor support as part of a pedagogical support is in practice combined with forms of non-pedagogical support. Conceptually, a model of pedagogical support in e-learning is the same as in the traditional models, the difference is only in the ways of performance. Modern technology offers a lot of new opportunities in terms of media and tehnology support in the preparation of teaching aids and materials but also in terms of communication support. When we decide on the choice of forms of pedagogical support for an e-education program we have to consider the characteristics of participants, learning topics, the characteristics of the learning environment and course resurces that are available.
