Uroš Kušar (2011) Social network for Alumni club for Faculty of computer and information science. EngD thesis.
Abstract
LinkedIn is a social networking site with a focus on professional networking. Within the following study we explore the potential for LinkedIn to serve as a model for developing Alumni club FRI portal. Each Application Programming Interface (API) will be presented both with how it was developed and an example of its use. This thesis will describe the need and purpose of the Alumni FRI portal as well as explain the potential market user group. The program code for Alumni FRI was written with RapidPHP, and the API interface was tested with WAMP (web server Apache, MySQL database, PHP) as well as PECL. PECL is a structured set of libraries of code used as a means of distributing and managing code. Free versions of software were used and obtained from http://diploma.no-ip.biz and provided by no-ip.biz.
