    Abstract

This thesis is about developing an automated motorized camera dolly system. These type of systems give the user an option to automate filming processes and create identical camera movement for as many repetitions as needed. Our design of the camera dolly uses stepper motors to move the camera on the slider and rotate it around multiple axis. The user controls the system using an application running on Android based tablet computer. There are three main chapters in this thesis in which we describe our system from the conceptual point of view, the hardware part and finally the software application section. In conclusion we evaluate the system as successfully developed, but as always there is room for improvement, mostly on the side of the application. Adding additional functionalities would make users interaction with the system even better and maybe we could make a competitive product for the market of filming tools.
