Abstract

Over the past ten years we have enjoyed true bloom of geographic information systems implementation on Slovenian municipalities. The introduction of the thesis gives a general definition of geographic information system and the purpose of this thesis. The first chapter is devoted to the description of the municipal geographic information system iObčina, description of data which are its most important part to gather information, a short description of architecture and structure of system iObčina and a description of the basic module, which is the basic and at the same time minimal part of the system. The second part of this thesis represents its basic essence. It describes what the compensation for the use of building lot is, how to obtain data for the vacant lot that are part of the compensation assessment for the use of the building lots, the design of module for editing vacant lots and the module connection with basic module iObčina.
