Abstract

Scout associations require a lot of administrative work from the members of their executive committee. At the moment there are no computer supported solutions or systems, which would make work easier and automatize certain processes. Based on what already existed solutions and the interview we had with representatives of Scout association of Slovenia (ZTS), we designed a modern web-based information system, which will enable easier work and comprehensive overview of all the activities of the individual scout group. We had to define several user roles with adequate rights and functionalities that are connected with input and processing member data, events and other activities within the ZTS. The system was developed in programming architecture ASP.NET MVC, programming languages C#, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 with the use of MySQL database. User interface was built in Bootstrap 3.3.4. framework, using additional extensions. The information system was tested in collaboration with members of ZTS and will replace currently used inadequate software implementation of data management.
