Abstract

The thesis describes the development of a web portal for a voluntary association, namely the fire brigade Brezovica near Borovnica. Since we live in the era of the Internet and websites, the idea for setting up the promotional website of the fire brigade emerged. I decided to upgrade this idea and develop a portal for the management of all necessary records, which were organized manually in the past. Since some of these records are registred after the completition of events, this often lead to incomplete data entry. Therefore, the portal has also been adapted for acces using mobile devices, and enables real-time data entry into the records during the execution of the intervention. With the adjustments enabling easy use on the mobile devices it is also possible to access data anywhere and anytime. Main purpouse of this thesis is to create a web portal for the fire brigade. The first part deals with the production of appropriate data model to store and link all the data into a web application. In the second part I devote the attention to the development and presentation of the web portal. During the development I utilised the HTML, CSS and JavaScript on the client side, while on the server side I used C# and SQL. I conclude the thesis with discussion and ideas for the future work.
