    Abstract

The diploma thesis presents the development of a system for electronic coupons on smart devices. The creation, distribution and redemption of coupons was achieved with signals coming from communication technologies Bluetooth and NFC (Near Field Communication) on a short distance. The service provider is able to forward immediate information from a sales zone by transmitting the bluetooth signal to the user, who receives all important information about any benefits and discounts. Two Android applications were created. The first one enables the seller to overview all user profiles, create, send and redempt coupons. The second one was intended for consumers. It involves an overview of user profile and coupon redemption. The system was developed using the Java programming language with Android SDK tools in the Eclipse development environment. The MySQL base and a local base were used for storing data. MySQL is stored on a server, while the local data base is stored on a user device.
