Aljaž Pikec (2016) The analysis of the use of COBIT as a concept for potential implementation to farming. EngD thesis.
Abstract
The Cobit framework can be structurally and substantively adapted so that it can also be used in agriculture, and that in such a way that increases the intelligibility of the described processes also to employees who are not experts in this field. Using the Cobit framework and its control objectives is reasonable, because the introduction of the control objectives improves the quality of services. Of all the processes that Cobit defines, I have chosen only some of the key ones that are useful in the introduction in agriculture, and the control objectives necessary for these processes. For a successful introduction in agriculture, I have set some of my own processes, to which I have determined the related control objectives and my maturity model, because only on this basis, we can make certain instructions that are useful in the introduction of IT in agriculture.
