    Abstract

Nowadays we often encounter with the lack of a consistent monitoring over the patient’s condition and his or her well-being. Fast pace of a life-style additionally adds to that, since it may cause that the health threats get discovered when it is already too late or they even stay completely unnoticed. In recent years the Internet of Things increased its influence over the field of the homecare and well-being of an individual. We can already spot several devices that measure the vital signs of an individual and send these measurements directly to the doctors’ back-end systems. In this Thesis we thus focus on the overview of the already-existing smart devices in the field of the healthcare. We set our goal to develop a system for a remote monitoring, which enables measurements of vital signs with the use of a smart device in home environment. The data of the performed measurements gets immediately transferred via mobile app to the web application. This allows doctors a precise review over of the patients’ results.
