Abstract

The thesis covers the process of designing a good user experience. The process is first described layer-by-layer using literature, then its usage is demonstrated on a real-world example. The practical example requires the design of a user interface with an emphasis on the user experience (without the final detailed design) for a hospital dialysis room management system used by nurses in larger dialysis centers. Through systematic layer-by-layer planning, the designed application is adapted to the characteristics of the end user and fulfills the goals of the customer. The result is a wireframe model which details the functionality of the application and the process of interaction with users.
