Abstract

Companies are increasingly striving to switch to cloud services. This also applies to e-mail services. Office 365 offers us just that. That’s why we developed a methodology for migrating from the local e-mail environment to the Office 365 cloud solution. We start with the theoretical part where we describe all the possible migration types. We also prepare a short cost analysis. Next, we present the strengths and weaknesses of Office 365 cloud services. The main part of the thesis is the development of a methodology that can be used to facilitate the transition to the Office 365 cloud service. It has ten activities that follow in a logical order. It assumes that we have a locally set up EXCH server, but it can also be used in case the company uses an IMAP mail server. The technologies that we used are Powershell, AzureAD and others that are available. The company gets a reliable and secure e-mail service. In addition to the email service, the company can also use other services that are part of Office 365 service and gets a possibility to integrate other software using the Microsoft Graph API interface.
