Abstract

In the graduation thesis we focused on the problem of virtualization of servers in a small company. Due to the large number of physical servers, the company experienced problems with the maintenance and use of electric energy. The servers were outdated, so the company decided to move them to a new virtual environment. Within the thesis the virtualization and its advantages are presented. Several virtualization software providers are presented. The current state of the enterprise's server infrastructure is analyzed. The process of selecting the hardware for the new virtual environment is explained. The steps for setting up and installing the virtual environment are described. Different ways of virtualization of servers are explained. The process of migrating servers to the virtual environment is described. The virtual environment schema is displayed after a successful virtualization process has been completed.
