Abstract

In the thesis, the development process of a web application for the assistance with the selection of a mentor and consequently, for the support of the student's professional or research work is presented. With the help of the application, students are enabled to express their wishes and ideas more easily, independently of the already defined titles and topics. On the other hand, mentors can recognize a potentially good idea or plan for a student's work and support it with mentoring. After the selection of the mentor, the application provides further support for the work itself, and then also for the completion of the final report or thesis.
