    Abstract

The thesis presents the Slovenian electronic solution for ordering to medical services by showing examples of use of a digital referral through the eyes of the health service provider and presenting the business logic of electronic ordering. The architecture of the implementation of the electronic ordering solution is explained, where the communication between the systems involved in electronic ordering is shown. Health care providers store referrals in the central register of patient data and perform orders. In this regard central ordering system acts as the interface between the data registry and the performers. It also enables online ordering on the portal zVEM to every individual to whom an electronic referral has been issued. As for all other Slovenian eHealth projects, a security scheme system is used for authentication and authorization. The technical implementation of the setting up of electronic ordering in the hospital information system Think!Clinical is demonstrated using a variety of methods that coordinate data of referrals and orders of hospital information systems with the state of the data stored by the central patient data register. A number of shortcomings in the initial implementation of the electronic ordering implementation are also highlighted. \\ We have described a sample case of upgrading integration methods to a new version of the eOrdering specification that eliminates most of the content problems of the electronic ordering system. As the biggest existing shortcoming of the current implementation of electronic ordering, the fact is that it is necessary to support the creation of several current orders at the same time for referrals, which are valid trough period of time is highlighted. This is the goal that both developers and users of the eOrdering system are aiming for.
