Dejan Dular (2009) The development of information system strategic plan to support high-value products' sales and marketing. EngD thesis.
Abstract
High-valued products need distinct IT support for marketing, sales and service processes. The support must be specially tailored to each manufacturer and distributor. This work suggests the idea of an information system, which will connect manufacturers and distributors where particular emphasis will be done on improving the communications over the vertical channel. In this work you will find an information system strategic plan to support marketing and sales of high-value products. The information system is designed so that on the one hand it supports all core business processes, on the other hand, it is highly flexible and customizable to the end-users specific requirements. The methodology used is based on EMRIS (unified methodology of information systems development in Slovenia). The work includes analysis of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 application, which will serve as a basis for the production of the information system. At the end there are suggested customizations and extensions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, which will extend the application to meet the requirements of the strategy plan.
