    Abstract

    Goal of this work is to analyze current trends in electronic business focusing on social media, targeted marketing, the use of new technologies and mass product customization. In order to reach their goals, businesses nowadays are adapting their business models that are becoming more and more focused on the web. Due to tough economic conditions during the economic crisis businesses are trying to reach their customers with targeted offers meanwhile cutting down costs. In order to optimize business operation they sometimes offer web services for free using venture capital, know-how knowledge and the use of social networks like Facebook, Twitter and blogs. Key success indicator today is a good business model that is using existing or new technology in a innovative way. In the field of electronic business this means investing into marketing and sales in social media, the ability to provide customized products to users by ofering them interfaces where they can customize products. Practical part of this work features a product configurator that is integrated into existing website using only standard web technologies(javascript, ajax, html). What is more a social media channel is build on top of existing website to leverage the potential of social media in web sales.
