Software deployment using msi technology

    Abstract

    A dissertation is describing entire deployment process of developed software on a target computer. It particular touches installations on operating systems of Microsoft Inc. company, that developed some kind of specific deployment technology called MSI technology. The technology determines installation, removals, changes of installation mode and upgrades of software of all kinds. MSI technology determines only how packages needs to be packed, which shows that MSI technology is entirely opened to developers. For use case in this dissertation exposes one little example which uses an open-source tool WiX.
