    Abstract

In this diploma thesis we presented the development of a poker table for live tournaments, which allows to obtain and to present data about the game on remote displays through RFID technology. We described the dynamics of organization and game flow involved in live poker tournaments. We have found out that it is difficult for organizer to monitor the game flow on a particular table that limits him to presentation of only basic tournament data on the displays. This is why we wanted to establish a system of automated detection, processing and graphic presentation of data on remote display, making the game more interesting to watch. We have examined devices used in RFID technology and Digital Signage and prepared the basics for the system design. After that, we have built a poker table with integrated antennas used to detect movement of gaming accessories with built-in tags. The RFID hardware devices were configured and used to meet the requirements of data processing application on speed and reliability. Implementing poker rules in the application was necessary to generate a file that could be accessed by digital signage players. Thus the audience is able to monitor the graphic presentation of the game on remote displays.
